Christmas Lights Etc offers a large variety of Rope Light for commercial use and residential use, available in spools or pre-cut length kits to allow for endless uses and applications.

Common uses for rope lighting include:

• Outline rooftops
• Spiral up columns and trees
• Illuminate floats
• Highlight business and advertising signs
• Create ambient indoor lighting
• Light up parade floats and boats (12 volt)

Available colors in rope lighting include traditional red, green, and white, and fun pink, purple and multi color lights. Selection of rope lighting includes 2, 3, 4, and 5-wire, with the main difference in each being chasing capabilities. The 3, 4, and 5 wire rope lights are available with multi color chasing effects through the use of a controller, and are ideal for fast paced, vibrant business locations. Specialty rope lighting features square and flat shapes instead of tubular, super brightness, chasing effects, and striped colors.

Commercial spools are available in lengths from 150' to 200'. Rope light spools all come with three each of power cords, power connectors, splice connectors, and end caps. Additional accessories are available to help configure designs, attach to frames and buildings, and connect multiple lights. Pre-cut rope light kits come in lengths of 12' - 30' complete with power cord and end cap, and include mounting clips. All our rope lighting is produced with crystal clear PVC tubing with high flexibility, temperature sustainability, and UV resistance.

Traditional incandescent rope lighting is constructed of pure Tungsten filaments. 120 volt rope lighting using standard incandescent bulbs is the most widely used variety, and is ated for 35,000 hours. 12 volt rope lighting is also rated for 35,000 hours of use but uses much less energy. 12 volt rope lighting runs off of DC power through a battery or a converter that converts AC to DC power. 12 volt rope lighting is the ideal solution for boats, RVs, and any mobile platform where AC power is available.

LED Rope Light utilizes energy saving light emitting diodes and lasts for 100,000 hours, and runs on only .53 watts/foot. LED rope lights are cool to the touch, resistant to shock, and has a much longer life span than incandescent rope lighting. LED rope lights are available in commercial spools and pre-cut kits, with a vibrant color selection to choose from.

Rope lighting can be used to create motifs, which make festive Christmas decorations. Pre-designed rope light motifs are available and often feature chasing lights, which gives the appearance of a design in motion. Popular lighted motifs include the Waving Santa with Golf Cart, and stars and snowflakes that can hang from windows or walls. Larger motifs secure into the ground with stakes.

Cutting Rope Light

Rope lights with the same power requirements from Christmas Lights Etc. may be spliced together. It is imperative that rope lighting only be cut in the designated cutting areas that are identified with cut marks.
